Listen, there is no easy way to tell someone who is interested in you that you don't feel the same way. It is going to hurt his pride, but if you are honest and direct with him he will respect you for that. And, when you are at your homecoming have a dance with him, it will make his night and help to ease the sting of not being the guy you wanted to go with.

Tell him that you are very flattered, BUT you're just not my type. Or just tell him that you'll get back to him so you can weigh your options. Nothing wrong with being choosy. Also if you're waiting for another guy, then why dont you just go ask the other guy? Nothing says a woman cant ask a guy.
