I'm starting to make an outline for my law classes and want to use the best software. I have both Omni Outliner and Microsoft Word. Does anyone think one is superior to another, or know of any other applications for outlining?

I like to use the outliner features in my word processor for outlines because when it is time to do the actual writitng, I think it's easier to 'flesh out' a word prosessor file than a file from a third party application. So if I had to choose between the two, I would most likely recommend MS Word.

That being said, I think the outlining features in WordPerfect to be far superior to Microsoft Word. In fact, I much prefer WP to Word, any day. Word Perfect used to be THE wordprocessor of choice for the legal profession, not sure if that is as true as it used to be though.
