It is normal for throat to hurt because mine did.but...I don't remember my ear hurting though..
Some people find their first week very painful to the point where sleeping is difficult, but most people experience very little pain from tongue piercing. It depends on the person i'd talk to the person who pierced your tongue or your doctor for anything that concerns you.
tongue piercing typically causes:
* pain * inflammation * infection * greater saliva production
*Consult with your physician or piercer and do not remove the jewelry until you seek advice. the last thing you want to do is remove the tongue jewelry. If your tongue ring piercing actually is infected, and you remove the piercing jewerly, the bacteria and puss can get locked inside if the hole closes up. The solution to healing an infection is removing it - you need to keep the pierce open in order to allow the infection to drain. Infection can lead to other serious problems, so you should see your piercer or doctor to get recommendations on how to handle it.*

Other symptoms? Redness, swelling, pain, pus? Are you following your care instructions for the piercing? There is a ton of bacteria in your mouth..so infection is a possibility. How many days post piercing are you?
If it is piercing related, then you need to see a Dr.
If it just happens to be a sinus infection or sinus trouble, then just take some sinus meds. Remember, anything draining from your nose will inflame the back of your throat. There is more than one way out of your nose. AND the nose is connected to the ears by channels, so if you blow too hard, you push bacteria into the ears.

no it's not normal. It sounds like you may have an infection. Swallowing the puss from the infection is what's making your ears and throat hurt. I don't know of a way to cure a tongue piercing infection, so you might have to take it out, let it heal, and give it another shot after it heals completely.

Yeah, normal for someone picking up an infection. Try cleaning it with plenty salt water, if it doesn't improve in the next 24 hours, take it out, wait a couple of weeks and go through the whole ordeal again...

you have an infection that has less to do with metal and more to do with the dirty hands of the guy who grabbed you tongue and jabbed a mystery needle through it. go to the doctor and prepare for a lecture. if he tells you to take it out, just do it. green pus from your swollen tongue is not sexy, even if there is a nail through it. probably strep throat, enjoy!

Ears could be from having your mouth open while getting it, its the jaw area but you'll feel it around your ears. Throat could be irritation from the stuff they use.

yeah the nerves are enflamed and take quite awhile to get back to normal. You have to watch for infection so be diligent about the care instructions they gave you. Taking ibuprofen should help too.

NOT normal, please consult a doctor. Sounds like an infection. Has it swollen? it can be quite dangerous if you don't get it checked out. Good luck, hope all is ok?
