Chicken noodle soup with garlic & black pepper. (No crackers). To help loosen the congestion. Also use an OTC expectorant to help loosen the phlegm so it will be easier to cough up.Try to rest in an upright position, such as a recliner, to allow postural drainage. Lots of rest, lots of fluids & Vitamin C (OJ).
If these remedies don't work after a few days, or if you develop an elevated temp or your condition worsens, you should seek a Dr's advice. Your congestion could have an underlying cause (like pneumonia) and you may need antibiotics or hospitalization.

You really should see a Dr.
If you can't, you need help to loosen it up. Robitussin or other type of expectorant and lots of liquids.
