Spain - Barcelona, the Islands (majorca). Rome is fun too. If you want beach stuff, check for pakage deals, usually cost around 300 GBP for a week or two.
OR South of France. You can even drive down there from the UK. Takes about 8 hours from Northern France to drive south.
