I had the coolest mix of two songs in my head earlier today, and I'd love to be able to make it happen. Is there a program that lets you take certain parts from a song (say, just the keyboard, or just the guitar), and not everything else that's going on? I guess it would just be sampling, but I'm not sure how people do that.

You have to look for music notation software......the name of my ex's program escapes me at the moment but if you go to his website you can email him and he should be able to give you the names of software that will do it easily.
