Once unfrozen and heated, the food, whatever it is should not be re-frozen as it can play havoc with the bacteria found in food and lead to very, very serious food poisoning. Some foods can be unfrozen, heated then stored in the fridge and re-heated, but only certain things. The main things to worry about are meat (particularly ham, chicken, pork and bacon) and believe it or not, rice. and of course shellfish.
If food is heated above 73 degrees is kills most of the harmful bacteria, but it really isn't worth the risk. Food poisoning is awful, you actually wish you were dead, some food poisoning can actually kill you, it isn't worth the risk.

It is completely genuine, although the human immune system is very good. Bacteria can multiply exponentially on reheated food and is generally the reason for food poisoning.
