HATE IT ! I can hardly understand them at times. And they use names like Robert, Jane, Mary, David, Yeah right. More like Pradeep, Dakshesh, Madhumalati and Pooja. LOL

im really not that bothered if they help me out. If they dont understand me, i find it quite annoying but it isnt these peoples fault and it doesnt do you any good getting upset with them. Usually you can speak to a supervisor or manager who speaks english and they help you out.
Companies need to reduce costs and it gives people in foreign countries jobs that over here people would leave after a couple of weeks - so no, all in all, it doesnt bother me too much.

Agree with you whole heartedly!!!! actually think it's disgraceful of the big companies to move their call centres overseas!!! it's only because they can get away with paying the staff about a quarter of what they would be paid over here!!! Which is actually a lot of money to said people!!! No disrespect to them!!

Some of them are okay, but others are so hard to understand it's difficult to figure out how they got hired. And sometimes they must be reading their responses from a printed sheet of paper, because they don't seem to pay any attention to your questions.
Still, when you get a good one, they are usually very good. So really, it depends on the service they provide and whether they can answer your questions intelligently.

In principle I don't have a problem with them. The only issue I sometimes have is, although their spoken english is actually very good, it's their accents which are sometimes very stong, which can be time consuming if I'm calling for something quickly, like a bill payment.
Better still, do it online...

I dont mind because I used to work in a call center. I had to put up with a lot of caca from rude people so I can only imagine what they have to put up with. Patience is the key. I dont agree with them getting our jobs but thats another discussion.

I think it is silly to have to ring India to make an appointment with a mortgage advisor at my local bank.
My biggest problem is that I sometimes find it difficult to understand the accent

It can be interesting sometimes. I have travelled in India, so I have a little chance to reminisce on my travels if I get put through to a call centre in India.
p.s. love your name!

I agree - it is completely ridiculous to have my local newspaper - in Ohio - have a company in Jamaica call me to suggest I get the nightly newspaper. Then they act like they know who I'm talking about hwen I complain about a newscarrier. Are you kidding me?
