A drop or two of vegetable oil or olive oil--I guess even baby oil would work but I've only tried veggie and olive oil.

Yes, I do it all the time. Just add a drop of water and let it sit over night with the cover on tight. You can keep adding-subtracting water till it's the consistency you like. Have fun!!

if bought playdough add glitter (if your child doesnt eat it) or clean sand or rice all are different textures or
make some more its cheap and quick to make
2 cup plain flour 1 cup salt 2 tablespoons cooking oil 4 tablespoons cream of tarter 2 cups boiling water
mix together cool and store in air tight container
add food colouring and if wanted cooking flavourings

I don't think so. You can make homemade playdoh though. It's far less messy and you can add scents to it as well.

A number of years ago there was a receipe out for Peanut Butter play dough. All you did was add oil to it to make it "new" and then if you wanted to you could turn the play dough into peanut butter cookies.

water is what is used to remoisten the playdo as per the playdo brand website. Oil is not used as it can cause it to mold.
