I am glad you asked this question as once England was a Catholic country. The king of England joined the protestant movement in order to move away from the control by the French king. He forced all under his Dominion to become protestants also and nearly annihilated the Catholic Church from England.
That decision by the English kind was the reason America is mainly Protestant, not Catholic. it is the reason most all of South America, Central America, and many (Cuba etc.) islands are Catholic as they were settled by the Spanish Kind om.
So your question basically proves that religion is environmental. You are religious due to your family;s background and not choice.

been there done that !
the short answer is no .
A balance of religions, is ideal for a multi racial, multicultural country like this one .
we should all be allowed ,to follow our own faiths , without fear of offending anyone .
But we must not be bullied into joining a faith, that defies harmony and destroys the peaceful life for their own ends .
we need to accept the differences between people , and recognise this ,in the country's best interest .
