No. It will never happen. The world would be fighting over which language to shoose. It would be pure anarchy.

I'm not sure what you mean by "again". I don't believe the "whole world" ever spoke the same language, but I digress...

Years ago, in the mid-late 1800's, L.L.Zamenhoff developed a "world language" called "Esperanto" which, he believed, would provide an easy-to-learn language that would allow for global communication. It never really caught on, even though some books were printed in Esperanto, and even a movie or two. (If I'm not mistaken, William Shattner spoke Esperanto in one of these films)

Again? The whole world never did speak the same language. Don't tell me you believe the Bible fairy tales like the tower of Babel.

Who would choose the language and what would happen to all the words that have been borrowed from other languages? It may end up being a silent world.

I think it would limit the opportunity for beautiful musical lyrics. But even if we spoke the same language would it be the same dialect? I speak English (US version) and so do the folks in England but I can barely understand them when they speak.

That would be great!
But some people would disagree as they won't be able to pretend they are something more than they are in fact.
I am talking about a Bulgarian person Astra who lives in a English village and thinks he is British born and doesn't remember his native language!

that would be pretty cool, hard to imagine though. I live in a small country and even though people here speak the same language I find it hard to understand some of them.

Everyone always tries to break up diversity just to make things simpler. Not that I am saying easier is always bad... just it always seems like we always have to force the break up of diversity in the world.

Everyone the same.... boring... I like the variety of languages in the world. It makes things interesting.

We all can speak the same language when it comes to the Lord Jesus, no matter how different the tongue is. the apostle Paul writes in
1 CORINTHIANS 1:10
10) Now I beseech you brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you: but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgement.

God is good and worthy to be praised. Allejuaih. Amen. I pray for you
