no - it clogs pores/hair follicles and your scalp won't be able to 'breathe' to effectively create new hair shafts/strands. Petrolatum is in a LOT of the hair products out there used for moisture, so if you buy your own hair products and petrolatum (vaseline) is the FIRST ingredient, then that's what the product MOSTLY is.... steer clear of it if you want healthy hair. Hope this helps!

Why to spike it? not ok, they're on your dermis and you'd be wanting fortifying shampoo to get the grease out. To moisturize it? not ok. this is why somebody invented conditioner.

If you really want to, you can put Vaseline in your hair, heck you can even put dog poop in your hair if you really want.....Whatever floats your boat..............

It will make it very greasy. I wouldn't do that if i were you. Usually when your hair looks greasy it makes you look dirty like you have not washed it at all!!!
