In my language rain can be "the devil is crying." Some Americans told me that is a wrong thought, that Christians should not worry about if the devil is sad.

Do you think it is WRONG to have pity for him? He's at least as much intelligent person just like you or I isn't he?

I am fully aware that rain is not tears

It's a sweet translation, but the devil is no more real than Santa Clause or the tooth fairy. Still, compassion benefits you as much as the recipient, so yes, by all means, pity him.

I'm not going to reply to the part about pitying the devil, because I honestly don't know. I would suggest finding someone at school or maybe a local church to answer that for you. I know that the internet is faster to get answers, but it's hard to tell if you're getting the facts from the net. Find somebody you trust that may study the bible. Or you can look for it in the Bible on your own, there's a reference book called a concordance that you can use. My daddy used to tell me that rain is God's tears when he sees all the sin on earth. There's also a really cool story about a little girl who was born incredibly premature. Her doctors told her parents that there was no chance that she would survive, and it was a matter of days before she would pass away. Her parents just kept praying for her and doing all they could to help her and little by little she got stronger until she eventually came home from the hospital. Years later the little girl was at a baseball game watching her brother play when it started to become overcast. The girl said, "Mommy, do you smell that?" The mother told her, "yes, honey that means it will rain." The little girl said, "No, that's what Jesus smells like when he holds you to his chest." Does that give you goose bumps or what?

For one the devil is not a person like you or me! He hates us because we have a chance to get into Heaven and he doesn't. It was his own fault that he's not there! He has corrupted minds and gets people to do bad things. He is evil! Nope I don't feel bad for him at all! He is intelligent, very! But very evil!

This is the 21st century, and people still have these stone age beliefs? I don't know whether to laugh or cry (no pun intended).

I don't mean to be rude, but I highly suggest that you throw those "holy" books away and pick up a science text.

The devil is burning in hell for a reason. He is the ultimate deceiver and has nothing but hate and destruction for mankind. I have no pity for him. He was created originally as the most beautiful angel in heaven but got greedy and full of pride so he was damned to hell. So no pitty is appropriate to give him. To hell with him...for good reason!

if you have sympathy for the devil, you are one step closer to falling into hell.... the devil is a liar and has no control over the weather.

yes...satan is intelligent. He is the ultimate deciever. (although he was not ultimate enough to tempt Jesus on the mount) Do I feel badly for him???? ummm.....no. I don't feel bad for someone who misleads people to do wrong. I feel bad for the people who follow him.
