Anyone know why on a clean install Windows Me has no logo on the Start Menu? How do I fix?
Thought use my old Notebook for some games and stuff.

Sounds like a graphics card problem. Go into safe mode and remove then redetect. Reboot normally may do the trick..

Windows ME is absolute garbage. It crashes more than a car in a demolition derby.
Seriously, Microsoft should have *NEVER* released it. I upgraded from Windows ME to XP a year ago, and I never looked back. Gone is the "white screen of death" that happened regularly, and having to reload the system every three months.
Don't put it off, and don't hesitiate! Upgrade to XP TODAY
