Why does fat America describe Mexicans from Mexico as being fatter than Americans?

Question

you are probably looking at 4th or 5th Mexican Americans who dont even speak a word of Spanish, yes they might be fat lard assess like most Americans.

Has anyone of you that state that actually been to Mexico or other Latin American countries? I take not, you would see that they dont have and obesity problem. Again, their diets are not like that of ours.

Good answer Becky, and they too avoid answering questions which are not in their best interest like my previous one about having the tables turned if Mexico was prosperous and Americans had to illegaly go to Mexico.

I have been to Mexico manny times, actually 5 times last year and twice this year, and its women are very petite and pretty and the men slender.

Take a look as your driving around in your car in America, please take a good look, everybody is overweight.

Very easy, they come here to the USA, work illegally and send the Clean good black money to their families, so they eat better than us. When who stay here and making the good black money and also living in welfare, getting lots from us. ( Not all Mexican, but most do) Shame!!! So you can answer my question, I had seen that over the years...

Because it is mostly the poor uneducated Mexicans that come here and those are the ones more likely to be fat because of the diet. I live in the Los Angeles area and have done so since 1968 and while there are alot of fat Americans just walk oe drive throught e hispanic parts of town like East LA or Highland park or San Bernardino and you will see more over weight hispanics than any other race and more so than before. It may be because after not having the access to so much food they over do it. This happens to other races that come here too. The Vietnamese who came here in the late 70's had a problem with obesity too because of the change in food. Oh yeah my next door anchor baby neighbor is a boy in highschool who has been gaining weight since he moved in 10 yrs ago and is over 300 lbs at age 17.his sister is fat 5' 4" 200+ and mother fat 5'2" also 200+ yep their are Mexican. And their relatives that come to visit from Mexico several times a year are not fat.

Actually, I have been in Mexico for many months at a time and while many locals have very healthy legs (they walk a lot) they seem just about as fat as many Americans. Particularly as they get older ...just like the rest of us.
I read an article in the paper recently, that suggests that hispanics are healthier than Americans. I find that hard to believe and suspect it was just liberal propiganda but the premis presented was that they thought the reason for this was that when hispanics become seriously ill, they go back to their respective countries. ha! I think this was to dispell any concern that they use our health care system to heal up at our expense using Amer. tax dollars.
Whatever. I can say without qualification that 2nd, 3rd generation and beyond hispanics are as fat as anyone else when living in the USA. Possibly even fatter ...but certainly not thinner.
Given the way corporate American has frauded American Citizens with corporate corruption, I am quite certain that our fatness is quite likely due to what commercial organizations put in the food they so highly process. To extend, to devitalize to make more desirable to eat more of, etc. to commercialize their products to the max. Consider pumping a cow full of steroids to plump it up so more money is returned when the beef is weighed in. If the meat is plumped synthetically, and you believe that you are what you eat. Being plumped yourself thereafter from eating such beef could very well be the outcome.
We all need to wake up. Many of the problems in our world are being fousted upon us from commercial, industrial concerns. Turn over the closest rock and you will find evidence of this corruption, travesty and more.
Mexicans are subject to the same treatment/food effects when they come here as we are.

"Take a good look driving around in your car, everyone is overweight". I don't know what corn fed backwoods you live in, but i see people of every shape and size. I work with a girl who is probably 5'4 and weighs maybe 250lbs. I also work with a girl who is 5'5 and maybe weighs 102 lbs and had to struggle just to weigh that much. Another friend of mine just had a baby and is only 5 lbs over her pre-pregnancy weight. some people are overweight, some people aren't. you however are reaching in your argument, and it makes you sound dimwitted and desperate

The reason Mexicans are not fat in Latin American countries is because they have nothing to eat. People in the United States have jobs that take up much of their time. They have to eat quickly and this usually means fast food. Fast food is very unhealthy and most of these people who eat this fast food do not have time to exercise. Many from Latin America do not have fast food and many do not have jobs which means they can't eat which makes them thin. Come to the USA and get fat, fat, fat. A double cheeseburger is only 99 cents for God's sake.

this is a mixture. that's like African-American or jap-American. you're one area one race and one area american, (being american would not recommend unavoidably being a criminal citizen of the U.S. If the two father and mom have been born in Mexico, then the baby is Mexican. A peach tree continues to be a peach tree no count if its' planted in Texas or in China, suitable?) as a thank you to reply to your question, while somebody says they're Mexican-American, it ability they seem to be a mix of the two nationalities. One determine is from Mexico and the different determine is American (in maximum circumstances, the different determine is Mexican-American besides). A slang, greater technical term is chicano. besides the undeniable fact that it in user-friendly terms APPLIES TO MEXICANS, not puerto ricans, brazilians, columbians, etc. in simple terms via fact they communicate the identical language would not recommend they're the identical united states of america. (Britian isn't referred to as united states of america....)

You are probably right..... but illegal aliens still don't belong in the USA, no matter what country they deserted.

I see plenty of Hispanics that are not fat. That is a good thing. Healthy.

I didnt read all of your question, but I have noticed this as well, and I have to say that this is probably a case of the pot calling the kettle black. Ive seen some chubby hispanics, but I have never seen them so fat that they had to go around in a wheel chair. that crew belongs primarily to the whites.

I don't know what this has to do with immigration but the Mexicans here are MUCH FATTER than the Americans here. Well...maybe it's because they are soooooo short that it just makes them look fatter or maybe it's because of all the spandex that the pregnant women wear or maybe it's because the women are ALWAYS pregant and that's why people think they are fat.

I have not seen anything printed about America addressing the obesity problem of any country but our own.
