I have psoriasis on my elbows, legs and scalp. Sometimes it gets worse, especially in winter. I got some cream from my doctor which has helped but I found the best thing was giving up smoking. Also, it seems to get a bit better if I eat lots of monkey nuts! Don't know why.

I have psorisosis and it started as mostly dandruf and then started spreading to my legs arms face and other places. It runs in the family and my grandfather had it so bad that patches of his skin would start to fall off. I guess this is what I get to look forward to! If you have it bad or are starting to get it, I'd go see a dermatologist and maybe they could help you with some type of lotions to try to pervent it from getting worse.

I have psoriasis- the patches do tend to get bigger but over the years mine have decreased- the only thing I found that makes it abit better is the sun- the patches do tend to stop at a certain size though- I have never been covered in it all over so they must stop-and I have had it for 25 years so ought to know. All the best to you.

yes, it does unfortunately. My dad had it and he found dead sea salts and sunshine helped as much as the creams and lotions he was given by the doctor. the best thing to do is go to a dermatologist, they will be able to keep it under control if it worsens and offer different things to find things that work for you and hopefully, stop it spreading.

Sure, any damage to the skin will cause the plaques to expand. Or they will just do it on their own. See a dermatologist.

i want to tell you as it might help that my mother has had psoriasis for 30 years.
as a none believer in alternative medicine she had test done to see if any food made her skin worse.
Everyone of the foods she was told to avoid were root veg tables
(all grew underground) she kept off them and her skin radically improved. strange but true.

Check out www.hufa.org, the yeast link. The reading I have been doing suggests psoriasis is due to candida albicans fungus. That is treatable.
