Today I had a female approach me that i have always see has just a friend. that the reason she was a b@#$% to me when we first met was because I was white. After She got to know me she told me that the reason she felt laid back and free to talk about things was because i was like no "white boy" she had ever met. She went on to tell me how "white boys" were corny and nerdy. What the **** does that mean?? I was raised between tijuana mexico, san diego and long beach...im not really sure how im supposed to act except for how i was raised. I was brought up in a mexican household, with traditional morals and ethics. I was rasied speaking spanish and I spent my fair share of time in and out of trouble and did alot of things that im not proud of... but damn. Im just interested in knowing if women really believe that men are supposed to act a certain way because of their race?? My hope would be that women wouldnt automatically stereotype me because the color of my fathers skin.

No man, that's not cool. I decided whether to hang with a dude based on his personality. My husband is of a different race than I and I've never really seen him as a corny "white boy" or anything else so ridiculous. I don't know about other women, but this one here doesn't judge a book by its cover. People have been judging me by the color of my skin for years. I don't like it, so I don't do it.

Yes.
Theres definately stereotypes towards men because of their race. BUT there's always exception to the rule, as you found out you are. Unfortunately she saw something negative because the color of your skin, but sometimes it can be positive... some guys are into asian women (submissive or freaky stereotype). Opposite side some girls aren't into asian guys (momma's boys and nerdy stereotypes). You can't get rid of these racial stereotypes and whether its a guy looking at you and thinking that or a gal, its just society. But you prove them wrong, thats all that matters.

Its sad but its true. Most people, not just women, will sterotype you not only becasue of your race but becase of many other things. Some people don't even want to take the time to get to know someone and form an opinion of that person as an individual. My advise is not to spend too much time worrying about people like that. I have heard the same things you are talking about.

I agree with you. No, not all women are that way. I look at the person for who they are in the inside. Not the color of their skin. I came from a very racial family but I have always felt like we all bleed red.

I know gentlemen of all races who are nice guys and who are jerks. As Martin Luther King Jr. stated, "judge not by the color of their sking, but by the content of their character." Which I do, and I am a woman.

Your friend is the one that sounds corny. No, not all women judge someone because of the color of their skin.

Rating people because of their race is completely wrong. I don't know any girls who would do that. I'm sorry you've had such a horrible experience.
