I would do the same thing I have done here. I would follow the laws of my country and that of others. I would do whatever I could to better myself and my situation at home to make it better for everyone and if that was not possible, then I would try to go elsewhere. Elsewhere however would not mean only Mexico, there are hundreds of other countries I could go to if I really had to and didn't just want to live off the Mexicans...

It would never happen, because in AMERICA, we've learned how to fend for ourselves, and make good use of the resources, and work, and stuff. That's why america has a 12-trillion dollar economy, the envy of the rest of the planet, apparently. When Mexico finally decides to pull up their socks and stop living off the US, they, too, will experience prosperity, but not before. INdependence means you take care of yourself, that you're not DEpendent on anyone else. Mexico has yet to achieve TRUE independence, because right now, if the border slammed shut, their economy would fold up like a cheap kite. There's nothing stopping Mexico but fear and good sense from building and providing the resources they need to support their own people. But, it's like the psychiatrist/lightbulb thing, they gotta WANNA change...and that might not happen, in our lifetimes at least, until or unless someone says 'pop' and pulls their head out of their hip pocket, and comes through with some good, solid reform concepts that'll push things in a better direction for em...

IF..... that is a big IF..... and an IF that is hard to answer...... since it is hypothetical....
The question begs for definition.... like, distance, education, upbringing, food supply, etc.....
If I felt like I do now, I would stay home and try to organize resistance against the corrupt Castillian government. I would not desert my country....
If we are allowed to have as much ingenuity as we have at present... we would find a way without destroying the society of another country.
We would quit over populating our nation..... put an end to banditry, try to smash the meth labs so prevalent in Mexico(they would be here if things were reversed)..... etc.... Americans have always found a way without breaking the law.
Man's inventiveness would come into play.... need fuels invention...
It would all depend on how we were raised and taught as a people.
BUT, it still doesn't give legitimacy to illegal aliens and their criminal invasion. They know it is wrong.... their government knows it is wrong to send their people out as slaves..... the USA knows it is wrong.... it is a criminal activity.

I'd take my butt home. I would never go to a place where I wasn't wanted. Well how about THIS??!?!??!
Recently large demonstrations have taken place across the country protesting the fact that Congress is finally addressing the issue of illegal immigration. Certain people are angry that the US might protect its own borders, might make it harder to sneak into this country and, once here, to stay indefinitely.
Let me see if I correctly understand the thinking behind these protests. Let's say I break into your house. Let's say that when you discover me in your house, you insist that I leave. But I say, "I made all the beds and washed the dishes and did the laundry and swept the floors; I've done all the things you don't like to do. I'm hard-working and honest (except for when I broke into your house)."According to the protesters, not only must you let me stay, you must add me to your family's insurance plan and provide other benefits to me and to my family (my husband will do your yard work because he too is hard-working and honest, except for that breaking in part).
If you try to call the police or force me out, I will call my friends who will picket your house carrying signs that proclaim my right to be there. It's only fair, after all, because you have a nicer house than I do, and I'm just trying to better myself. I'm hard-working and honest...... um, except for well, you know. And what a deal it is for me!! I live in your house, contributing only a fraction of the cost of my keep, and there is nothing you can do about it without being accused of selfishness, prejudice and being anti-housebreaker.
Oh yeah, another thing...I want you to learn my language too so you can communicate with me.

I tell you what I wouldn't do. I wouldn't go to mexico for the purpose of living a life of crime. I wouldn't rape, rob, and murder people there and then hop over the border to avoid being caught. I wouldn't sell drugs. I wouldn't claim part of mexico belonged to some phony american racial group and then work to overthrow their government.
I wouldn't do any of that and neither would anyone else from this country. But, that is exactly what MOST illegal immigrants are doing. That's why they come here. And it's why we are going to make them stop.

First ; Americans are no longer "prosperous" as most of our middle class jobs are outsourced to other countries, leaving blue collar jobs...Second ; Not only do many Americans 25 to 50 have to compete with students for entry level & minimum wage jobs to support thier families, but "illegal" alien's as well...Third ; Mexican's can always travel south to make more money from Central American countries (oh wait, they use deadly force to fight against being infiltrated, unlike Americans who complain but let it happen & support illegals with services we can't afford ourselves like education & healthcare) and Fourth ; What part of "ILLEGAL" don't people get? America was & is formed on imigration, but "illegals" make it bad for everyone...
If you're not willing to do the work to come here legally & EARN the right's the rest of us are trying to hang onto, America doesn't need you...Our own "handicapped" (mental & physical) can do the menial jobs, be happy to have jobs of thier own & not take our highest paying blue collar jobs too (like construction trades)...

I'd find the legal way to move into that country, just like some people from Mexico are doing now. NOT break the law and do it the illegal way just because it takes less effort. (Don't be lazy)

I tell you what I WOULDN'T do! I wouldn't SNEAK across to another country and demand that they speak my language and I wouldn't be STUPID enough to fly another flag that didn't belong in that country!! I wouldn't demand rights in a country where I don't have any. I wouldn't sneak around like a coward with 6 or 7 or more different SS numbers in my wallet.
AMERICANS are NOT LIKE you.
