Postmenopausal bleeding is always abnormal, and you likely have endometrial hyperplasia, if not worse.

Same thing happened to me...I waited until the second time, then went in, had an edometrial biopsy, which was negative for cancer, then had a hysterectomy, and it showed early, non-invasive cancer. Since it had not invaded, no chemo, or problems. I had no other risk factors for endometrial Ca except that I had a uterus.

Get it checked on right away, and put in the back of your mind, you may need a hysterectomy.

If your doctor wants to do "watchful waiting", get another doctor, you should at the VERY least have an endometrial biopsy, which for some people is not comfortable, but mine was painless.

For my hysterectomy, they took the uterus, tubes and ovaries out via the vagina, with assistance from laproscope. Elegant and easy. Felt good enough to go back to work in two weeks.

Best wishes, do not ignore this.

As you may know, menopause is basically puberty in reverse, in other words, a process that takes years. What you are most likely experiencing is considered a normal variation within this process.

Nevertheless, check with your doctor, since other factors need to be considered as well.

Visit your doctor!
You said you're now 3 years in menopause. Because of that it's less probable that your problem is caused by hormonal changes (but not excluded) and more probable it's a polyp.

Wear a napkin. Then, make an appointment with your gynecologist. Perhaps nothing is wrong. However, if you should have a uterine tumor or pollup, you had better find out sooner rather than later.....

My mother had this happen to her at age 80. I told her to talk to her doctor about it, because it wasn't normal. I only found out six years later that she had never bothered mentioning it, because it was too embarrassing. She died of lymphoma within that year. It was caused by the cervical cancer spreading.

Don't leave it too late. It is not normal.

I am not a doctor...that said, you need to go to yours SOON. My mother suffered from the same condition for sometime...it could be many things (some of them bad for you).

Stop the guessing and make an appointment today!

Best wishes.

Please go to your doctor. My mother had this happen to her, and it ended up she had polyps. She had a histerectomy though, and her problems are solved now. Take care.
