or let's say women who first show the guy that she likes him.
is it a turn off or a turn on?

Lets face it, you used the word "court", so that makes me think you are older than most people on here, and are a mature lady.

So, I have found out that most mature ladies are not shy about asking a guy out, because they are at a point in thier lives that they dont have to "play the games" that teenagers and young adults do,simply because we dont have the time that they have!

I applaud you for your tenacity in being straigh forward to your fella and he will apreciate the "move" that you made, because some men still havent mastered at our age, the asking out of women.

I wish you well..

Jesse

The term "court" is quite old fashioned, but an interesting way to pose the question. I think that in the past the expectations of courting were generally the responsibility of men, and often the social norm of by-gone era's however, in this day and age, where women are often working and having more liberated lives through the workforce and in other area's, it has become more equal. I can't speak on behalf of all men, but I do think that people in general are becoming more open to women expressing their desires and being the one to make the first move. Plus, it shows that a woman is self-confident enough, and believes in herself, and that is a turn on for many people.

I think it's a turnon. Courting isn't when the woman first shows that she likes the guy. Courting is when the woman buys everything for the guy and takes the dominant role in the relationship. I think that too many women allow what most of society does control their behavior instead of having a mind of their own. Who cares if someone else says the woman shouldn't show interest in a guy? It's your life so if you like a guy just go out and tell him so. The worst thing that can happen is he'll say "no" and you'll have gained nothing, while losing nothing. Don't let a fear of rejection ever control you.

what's rather lazy is sticking at the back of an previous ideology as detrimental to basically telling human beings the form you sense. it fairly is lazy and stressful. After a on a similar time because it gets rather previous having a woman act like she's too stable for you once you are trying to compliment her and ask her on a date. So rather some adult males do not worry those days.
