Losing 40 lbs in three months is not healthy. Ideally you should lose 1-2 (3-4 at MOST) lbs per week to stay healthy and to lose the weight to actually keep it off.
If you're able to work out and eat right enough to lose the weight in just three months time, you may put yourself in danger of putting it all back on very quickly.
Good luck.

dropping 40 lbs in a month isn't wholesome to your heart. that's used to pumping a definite quantity of blood by using your gadget at a definite cost and to drop that lots weight in purely a month is looking to weaken the linings of your valves because of the fact the blood will proceed to pump on the fee needed for a heavier physique mass. 2 months ... you're ok. Get acccustomed to aerobic. initiate with 20 minutes for the 1st week and then gradually enhance by ability of five-10 minutes each week. 20 minutes is seen the minimum to get your heart cost up and tender it into the exchange. The physique would not tolerate abrupt differences properly. while you're extreme, then please the two stumble on a well being club with a qualified coach or a private coach that can assist you.

LOSE LOSE LOSE LOSE LOSE LOSE
You may be able to lose 40 lbs in 3 months if you are very very overweight for your height (for example if you are 4 foot 9, and should weigh 85 lbs, then you are 100lbs overweight).
If you are within 25 or 50 lbs of your goal weight, I"d say almost impossible unless you really restrict cal to 1000 or 1200 a day (don't do this if you are under 18) & run for more than 1 hr/ d.

Yes, but continue to drink a lot of water, eat sensibly and eliminate after dinner snacks. If you have been inactive for a long time, its going to take longer to get into shape. You will be sore, and it may seem really discouraging at times, you may hit a wall where you just can't seem to lose any weight...... PUSH YOURSELF through it. If you can, find a partner to exercise with, having another party to motivate and work out with is fun. And, to be consistent with my first answer, I would still get a physical checkup from your doctor just in case you have any limiting factors like high blood pressure, heart disease, basically so you won't have a stroke while exercising. Good luck and keep healthy!!
Everyone who suggested using Meth is a douche-bag..... This person is asking a serious question and wants to improve herself.

it's possible...the heavier you are, the easier the pounds come off. stick to a steady routine - running an hour every day will most likely help you reach your goal. also be careful how you eat. eat lots of protein cuz it makes you feel full without eating a whole lot of calories. eat small snacks 5 times a day instead of 3 large meals. no carbs after 5 pm, cuz you won't work them off.

It also depends on your diet. You can run all you want, but if you are not on a balanced diet you definitely will not see the results you may desire. It's all about working out more and eating less.
