Here is the story...earlier I was out with my girlfriend and her sister. I was driving around and they were like "can we please get some mcdonald's fries?". Well usually I don't let my girlfriend eat fries but she had been really sweet lately and so I was like okay. So I pulled the the drive through and bought some fries for them but I wasn't hungry. Well my girlfriend was very excited and she gets hyper when she gets excited. She kept saying "here have some" and I was like, no thanks sweetie because I wasn't hungry. Nevertheless she didn't listen and she was trying to feed me some french fries while I was driving and I had about enough of it and smacked her hand really hard. She started to tear up and her sister said that was really messed up. I told her sister she that is what she gets for not listening. Was I in the wrong here? I felt I warned her enough.

First of all, YOU DON'T LET HER EAT FRIES? What gives you the right to tell her what she can and can't eat? Maybe she was wrong to keep trying to feed you the fries, but it is NEVER right to hit someone. If it really annoyed you, pull over, look her in the face and tell her you are serious and she needed to stop. I think she would get the hint. Smacking or Slapping her hand..hard is not the way to get the point across. If you were trying to be affectionate and kissed her and she didn't want you to..but you did it again..just wanting her to know you were thinking about her and she slapped you, how would that make you feel?

You can never hit anyone unless they hit you first. It sounds like you are a very controlling person. You talk about your gf as if she is a child. You "don't let her eat french fries." And "that's what she gets for not listening". Excuse me? Who died and made you god? She can eat whatever she wants without your approval. And if you didn't like the way she was behaving in the car, you should have pulled over and discussed it. She should dump you before you ruin her life. Unless you change, you will have a hard road ahead.

Yes, you were wrong. Not way wrong, but wrong. You should NEVER touch a girl in an abusive way, or a way meant to hurt. You're the guy, you don't hit girls. You should have pulled over as soon as possible to talk about how dangerous it is for her to shove things at you while you're driving, and you definitely had a right to yell. But you should not have hit her.
BTW,
You don't let your girlfriend eat fries? SHE should get to decide what she eats. It's none of your beeswax.

Were do you get the idea that it is ok to ever hit anyone . Especially a girl who you call your girl friend . This is never cool .
If you start this now what will happen later in the relationship when she really does something to piss you off ? Do you punch her ? Push her down ? what ? Please stop now before it gets worse . Maybe next time if she annoys you , pull the car over and get her attention that way . It sounds like she was being very childish doing that while you were driving . BUT DON'T HIT !!!

Where to start on how wrong you are...
First of all, you LET her have fries? Why are you so controlling? Why does she let you? You must go find gfs with no self esteem so that you can control them because you are such a loser yourself.
As for smacking her, I'd have knocked your *** outta that truck. I have NO CLUE why she is with you, but if you ever get a conscience you should apologize, beg for forgiveness, and break up with her before you do any more damage to this poor girl.
You should seek therapy immediately.

My husband gets mad when I ask him if he wants a bite after I had already asked him earlier. You should of not hit her hand you should of just told her straight out "If I was hungry I would of bought some fries myself. Hitting is not a good way to get a point across you can do it with words. She should be able to eat whatever she wants to eat you are not her boss.

Your an idiot and so is she for putting up with you. You "DON'T LET" her eat fries. WHO the hell you think you are? She don;t need your or anyone else permission. Of course you were wrong. You have the early signs of a controlling person. Example: If you don't do what I say, I attack you. Read your question line by line. Put yourself in her place. (You can't have that, if you do I'll slap the ???out of you. Then you called her sweetie, you never hurt what you love. Again you were wrong.
