No and I ask occasionally, it just comes down to what you're asking.

No. I just started doing this and I have not asked a question yet. I may ask at some point, but right now, I really enjoy finding answers for people. I work in a library and sometimes I don't have a lot to do. So I get on Yahoo Answers and try to help people, if I can.

You are wrong. I have asked a few questions, I do not have any to ask right now. I do not answer to get points, I do not even know how many points I have.
I do not check someone's profile before I answer their question, it is not relevent to the situation. Someone has asked a question, and I will answer if I know the answer, or give my opinion when that is asked for.
I come here to help people out, to learn, and to have fun. I do not have much of an ego, if I did, I sure would not be here.

I have asked quite a few questions. Unfortunately I get very few intelligent answers. So I am just not going to ask any questions I really want an answer to. I find that cooking and cancer are the two categories you get the best answers in. Even in the cancer section people still answer when they do not have a clue for the answer.

You can usually tell by the answer if they are egotistical, others just may think that their questions are not good enough for some of the people to answer. Others just do not have anything to ask.
Then, maybe some are just here to pass the time away, and read all of the other opinions.

No, every time I want to ask a question, it turns out the same, or a very similar question already has been asked. I don't want to ask the same question for the twenty forth time. There are enough people here that already do that.

Well,it's not because I want to save points or something like that,I come to this page because I want people to know my opinion,It may help sometimes, and that would be prize enough for me(although 10 points won't bother at all).
If I am bothered with problem, I will ask suitable question, And I do count on you to be there to give me your opinion....
It just might help........

If we all stop answering questions, YA will be closed down.

And as for people not asking questions, I guess they just don't want to sacrifice five points. They are really impatient to get that new sports car and lifetime supply of free Super Bowl tickets that all are given upon reaching Level 7 ; ).

no, I can never think of any good questions to ask!! So I only ask them when I really have something going on and NEED answers.

No, I read other questions that have already been answered. Besides, I want to build up points.

Not at all. some people just dont have any questions in mind, so instead, they respond to questions. Nothing wrong with this.
