If you're using good quality eye drops, they shouldn't cause any damage to your eyes. If you feel that after using eye drops that you've somehow damaged your eyes, go see an optometrist. Most likely it wasn't the eye drops but rather some dust or dirt (or other such debris) that got washed into your eyes when you used the eye drops. In answer to your question as to whether the damage is reversible, changes are that your eyes haven't been irreparably damaged and at worst that you've just scratched the surface of your eyes.

If such scratches aren't so severe that your vision hasn't changed so that it looks like you're viewing the world through a kaleidoscope, then they should probably heal on their own. But you still want to go to an optometrist if you suspect that there is any damage, as there might be some treatment they can give to help your eyes to heal properly (that is, if there has been damage done that is a real cause for concern.)

Something else I should probably mention is that if you wear contacts, DO NOT rub your eyes when they're in. You can badly scratch the surface of your eye this way and cause serious damage. If your eyes are feeling dry, try eye drops, but don't rub them in. If the irritation is so bad that you just can't stand to wear the contacts, go back to wearing glasses and talk to your optometrist to see what options you have, whether it is trying a different kind of contact or just sticking with glasses, ext. I hope this helps!
