Religion is a supplement to the human intellect.

Humans have a powerful need to understand their environment, the world, and the universe. Religion is used to explain that which we yet to have a scientific, rational explanation.

Each time Science makes a major advance, religion takes another step into the background

Religion is only an abomination to those who see it as a threat to their sin lifestyle. It's only an insult to those who lack human intellect and morals.

Yes it is. In responce the to guy who mentioned evolution, well, evolution itself falls under the umbrella of science yet we have proved and disproved may things, so much so our live are basically controlled by it, from the food we eat, to the cars we drive. To class evolution (science) as an insult to human intellect is in your words, making you the fool, not us!

The human intellect invented it. The only time it would be an "insult" is if people choose to let it limit themselves.

A scorner seeketh wisdom, and findeth it not: but knowledge is easy unto him that understandeth.

Go from the presence of a foolish man, when thou perceivest not in him the lips of knowledge.

The wisdom of the prudent is to understand his way: but the folly of fools is deceit.

I agree, people have forgotten what religion was about. BUT if I could do whatever I wanted, Id let people worship who/what they want as long as they stay in their boundaries (Boundaries being no harm to human life).

No. Evolution is an insult. Secondly you are calling yourself wiser than other people:

Romans 1:21-23 (King James Version)

21Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

22Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

23And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

Try to think without evolution as your religon. Thats all evolution is. So please stop spending my tax dallors spreading your lies.
