Exercise is great, but you won't lose 40 pounds in 2 months.

With consistent exercise, you will lose 2 pounds a week. That's very good and safe.

Or you can use my unintentional and unhealthy method: get stressed out. You won't eat for days.

That does not sound very healthy... I would consult your doctor about this. Although a lot of people here offer good advice, we don't really know what your health is and could possible harm you by offering advice that would work better for someone else. I DO AGREE that drinking more water will help. Talk to your doctor, he or she will be able to advise you with a exercise plan that will work properly for YOU.... and still, I can not think that losing 40# in 2 months is going to be good for you.... maybe 3 months, it would be a lower impact. Good luck though and wish that you reach your goals :-)

Geeze. I dunno about 40 lbs in two months...that doesn't sound safe or healthy. I understand where you're coming from though, I need to lose about 30 myself. But I'm doing it the good ole fashioned way, watching what I eat and working out everyday. So far I've lost about 17. I won't lie though, I take a Stacker3 in the a.m., go to the gym and get on the tredmill for 2 miles, go lift weights for about 45 minutes, spend 1 hour in the pool and top it off with 20 minutes in the sauna....I have learned never take a Stacker and go to a desk job... I spend all day bouncing....I drink lots of water or green tea...Snapple makes this green tea with ECGC...metabolism boosters....that's pretty good....no sodas, kool aids and such. I eat veggies like crazy and I try really really hard to stay away from cakes, cookies and candies...fresh fruit...you'd be amazed at how good things like cherries, watermelon and peaches all taste when you're craving something sweet.

Learn to lose weight from a professional trainer by going here:

Here's a few tips.

Do three to four cardiovascular workouts each week

This is how you'll burn the majority of your daily calories. Cardio increases your metabolic rate, so that you'll burn more calories throughout the day, even while resting.

30 minutes of cardio, three to four times a week, is enough to raise your metabolism and help burn calories. Any more than that could lead to overtraining.

Choose cardio machines that get more of your body moving. the more you move your body, the more calories you burn. The Stairmaster, biking, and running on the treadmill are all good examples of intense cardio that will move more of your body.

Weight train three to four times a week

Weight training will not burn a sufficient amount of fat while you're doing it. Weight training will help you burn more calories and fat in the future.

Swimming is the best exercise, because it exercises every muscle in your body. Second best is running. Third best is standing in front of a TV and put an exercise tape on.

everyone will give you a different answer...the best answer it go to the doctor and get the answer from him/her...but i will tell you this..don't take over the counter pills...all they do is raise your blood pressure and mess up your heart...only fools that think there is a magic pill will take that stuff...there is no magic pill...my mothers doctor gave her a diet plan and it work without a lot of exercise...you just eat a lot of fresh stemmed vegetables and baked skinless chicken...and a lot of salads...watch your hidden sugars and your carbs...the only fruit to eat right now is lemons, limes, and grapefriuts...my mother lost about 10 to 12 pounds a week...but everyone is different...just don't buy those diet pills...good luck on yout weight loss...

Three days cardio, three days toning. I would recommend you the Denis Austin program. Try to find some of her books. It works. Good luck!
