are you speaking of gender or anatomy? (sex and gender are two different things. there are many genders beyond two---including nongenders---and there are over 30 chromosomal sexes)

Now to answer your question, following a certain theological train of thought, no, i don't believe people retain their gender, or their anatomical sexes. one, gender is socially constructed, not biological. As gender changes from culture to culture, i don't believe human culture will be quite the same in heaven.

and the bodies we have now function in accordance with the laws created to sustain functioning in this universe, in this dimension, so again, i don't think so.

PS to matvfreelife
If it states no males and females, does that mean it's a yes for intersexes? ^_~ kidding since i don't personally believe this anatomy will be following me to heaven ^_~

The Bible tells us, “At the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven” (Matthew 22:30).

Luke 20:34-36 And Jesus answering said unto them, The children of this world marry, and are given in marriage: But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage: Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection.

There is another passage that bears on the matter of relationships in the kingdom of heaven. Gal 3:28 There can be neither Jew nor Greek, there can be neither bond nor free, there can be no male and female; for ye all are one (man) in Christ Jesus.

All human beings—male and female—are created in the image of God. Each is a beloved spirit son or daughter of heavenly parents, and, as such, each has a divine nature and destiny. Gender is an essential characteristic of individual premortal, mortal, and eternal identity and purpose.

You will retain your sex in heaven because that's the way God created us.
Your sexual feelings will be absorbed by experiencing never ending ecstasy.

As disembodied spirits we will have elements of both masculine and feminine qualities.

I do not strongly believe we will have physical bodies in the afterlife but do believe in the possibility of reincarnating on the material plane.

As for sexuality in the afterlife I do believe in the possibility however I think it will be more mental/spiritual in nature.

We will have resurrection bodies which will be perfect. We will not have sexual feelings, only fellowship with Christ which is beyond anything we can comprehend.
