This last week I've really had a craving for poached eggs on toast, and so I've had 14 eggs this week. So people are telling me "My GOD man, think of your colestrol!" And I've been told two eggs a week should be my limit. So does my favourite breakfast have to be a once a week treat, or can I get away with it a few times a week???

Eggs raise both good cholestrol and bad cholestrol equally - the optimal amount of eggs to have in a week is 5 to 7. If you get the omega 3 ones they cost more but are worth it.

you should get your cholesterol checked first and get an overall picture of how your body process/digest protein. everyone's safe level is different but 14 a week sounds a lot. even if you are young(under30) you should still be careful so you don't have to deal with the problem later in life. cutting it down drastically will most likely increase your craving for it. so try from eating eggs every other day, or blend other ingredients in the eggs to have the meal more balanced.

It's safe to eat eggs all the time but it's the calories you have to worry about! If you are already heavy then you may want to cut down! Poached is good, boiled and microwaved as well. You're not frying them up so don't worry so much. Just remember this-eat in moderation and keep away from the grease!

i come from a farming family, so love eggs. Usually have an egg for brecky every day, or at least every other. As i'm under the doc for other things not related and my colestrol is ok, what you fancy does you good.

i just had a physical, everything is really good. i love to hear that. man, you've worried me with this inquiry, do you know how much tuna salad i eat, plenty enough. i don't want to say now, a bit embarrassed. i'm in new orleans even our tuna fish salads are out of this world. secret ingredients, lots of mayo but it has to be hell--mann's, 2-3 boiled eggs, white tuna , black pepper, ton y sathor i seasoning , sweet relish and finally a splash of lemon juice. mix it all up and in the fridge overnite. the best. my figure is good, but now i'm thinking about cholesterol levels. i started this tuna salad must have, after the tests. ah' man, i'm freaked out!!!

Everything in MODERATION, you cant go far wrong, I would guess 2 -3 eggs maximum a week is a good measure, especially if you have high cholesterol.

The British government were once planning to issue seven eggs in a box; one per day. I assume that seven per week is okay.

eggs are rich with proteins, but don't take the yellow eggs too much. eat only the white eggs. 5 nos of white eggs is good per day. its enough for a days protein intake.
