A few months ago I had a vision in which I was told to heal with my hands. I was told that I had to go out into the world and help sick people and not to worry about my stability or my job as I would be supported. I am a reiki healer but only really treat friends and family. I tried the different process of healing I was shown in the vision with positive affects. I now want to go forward with this method but don't want people to believe I am some kind of nut case. Any advice please?

I would be interested in knowing the technique you learned, as I practice energy healing myself. Do not allow all the idiots on these boards to argue with you. God is real, and powerful, but He created us with natural energy and our consciousness with the ability to manipulate it. The energy you project does NOT come from God, as it can be used equally easily for good or evil (and I have seen both, and used energy manipulation to hurt someone on more than one occasion, so I can certainly attest to this). It does not come from the devil either, as it can be used to heal anyone, no matter how good, Christian, Jewish, or of any other religion. As for those who say that the soul is more important, healing the energetic body heals the emotions and helps to clear the mind as well as the body, so it actually helps a person spiritually. Also, Jesus himself had more of a healing ministry than a spiritual one. This is simply scared Christians trying to rationalize why you shouldn't do the greatest calling a human can be called to. As far as being called a nut case, don't worry about it. People will always call you that, the way I deal with it is to have a rather cynical elitist outlook. Hopefully you can find a better way, but my own attitude is that, while I have compassion for all people, most of them are just sheep, and stupid at that, and their opinions don't mean crap. Once again, I would be very interested in learning what you saw in your vision, as my ultimate goal is to become a healer myself (like you, I practice it in my personal life only, and want to expand), and am always interested in learning new techniques.

Yes. Be more humble to avoid being a "nut case".

I took the time to examine "reiki technique" and find that is uses concepts foreign to western thought (Judeo-Christian concepts).

It is not your hands (or any other hands) that does the healing, it is using (or awaken) "Reiki [which] is a Japanese word representing Universal Life Force, the energy around us and within us." You will see this express as "chi" usually in martial arts.

Where does this energy come from? There are many explanationd but the one that you can use effectively in western countries is God. God as spirit (wind), which brings us to the bible.

I personally don't care what you believe, but if you use the phrase "whatever I can do comes from God" (not your hands), you will have an a means to uses your gift/skill without being looked upon as a "nut case".

God existed before and created everything we can observe including "reike". You are using this belief (maybe not yours) to help those who need healing.

If you have a bible, check out your restriction documented in 1 Cor 10:23-24. You are not the first healer (reiki or otherwise). Don't try to examine what you can or can not do. Just do what you can, taking no credit, no glory (except God's).

That is how you avoid being a "nut case". Good luck with your ministry.

I think you are a very well meaning person, however, I don't think you should go out and heal with your hands. This is not what we are "told" to do by the ONE AND ONLY TRUE GOD.

It is not the body that needs to be healed...it is the soul!! What have you given someone if you provide them 50 years on this earth yet you do not offer them eternal salvation through Jesus Christ? You have given them 50 years and then eternal death....when you could have offered them eternal life. The years spent on this earth are a drop in the ocean compared to eternity.

Go out and spread the Gospel message....give them something with eternal rewards ...but keep on working to support yourself while you do it.

Well that is a beautiful gift to have! I would go to a school and get a little done their first, become a holistic doctor. You can have patience that will trust you and take in what you can do for them! I have both types of doctors! My herbalist helped me with my asthma when i was a little girl and i don't take anything for it now! He gave me some herbs and made a syrup for me and now i don't really need to go to my regular doctor unless something out of the ordinary happens! So consider that option!

visions are great as long as you know how to use them... don't set aside priorities and the real world...survival is a must. people say what they want to say what matters is you don't let this affect you and your faith with yor vision. go forth to what you think is correct and helping others but remember positive and negative always comes together. good luck!

Healing hands should always be hot, I mean really hot. And when the hands are placed on a sore spot, it makes the pain and discomfort disappear. I think this is true healing hands. Anyone can give a good massage

Go and do your calling. I hope you have no one dependent on you for support. I waited for now to immerse myself in His "Gift."

Peace and Love
