Most people are saying "please if you don't know, do not answer." I thought this category should be for christians, and other people who respect people only. There should be a special category for atheists only. Non-believers can be here, because they believe there's a God in heaven, they just need some time, and word of God. They may not be too upset if talk to them abt God, but Atheists will want to kill you.

i have no desire to kill anyone at this moment. but anyone human will tell you that they have wanted to kill somebody at some point. how can non-believers believe in god? that would make them believers. atheist are those who dont believe...yeesh. besides what would the religion and sprituality section be, if there were constant arguments, mostly between atheists and theists?
i respect other people. this isnt a christian board. its a board for everybody. if you want a christian only board, go somewhere else.

I know many atheists who respect people and their right to hold whatever belief they choose. So how would you categorize them?

This isn't a christian board.. it is an open board for the topic of Religion and Spirituality which means any person who goes online no matter what beliefs they hold has the right to post an answer so long as it is keeping with the rules of Yahoo.

i don't think we can learn anything if we don't welcome everyone into all of the categories--and if you're not in answers to learn and hear alternative viewpoints, what's the point of coming here? there are plenty of public forums for people who don't want to have discussions and just want to talk about their love of their faith. to pose questions like yours--where you judge who should be able to participate and call people who don't agree with the tenets of your particular faith as 'non-believers' is a bit arrogant and will incite others to treat you with disrespect, as you are not respecting the rights of others to have their own philosophies or theology. it's the golden rule isn't it?

im a christian, but i really don't understand why the christians on YA are so intolerant. if i offer an answer they don't like, i am frequently stalked and threatened with hellfire. i think if we actually discussed issues of philosophy rationally and with compassion, instead of spitting scritpture, spiritual people would get more respect in YA.

Where to begin, where to begin....

To begin with: If you truly believe that all atheists want to kill believers, then you are either sadly misinformed, or twelve years old and sadly misinformed.

To go on with: You don't get to decide who goes where or who says what. That's what freedom means -- nobody gets to decide for anybody else.

I don't know exactly what you're afraid of, but you needn't be afraid of atheists.

You obviously have trouble with the definitions of the words "religion" and "spirituality". As well as the concept of this being a public forum. If you want a forum with only Christians on it, find a Christian website.
