I took an eye test at the eye doctor and got 10 out of 10 right on the depth perception part and was wondering what good it really is if I"m not old enough to drive yet. I know there's something someone can tell me that my mom hasn't yet.

Depth perception allows us to:
see in 3-D (otherwise everything would appear flat)
see how far it is to an object

So, even though you are too young to drive, depth perception is important to prevent you from riding your bike into things, walking into things and doing every day things such as tying your shoes, buttering bread, pouring a beverage, etc. All those tasks and many more involve depth perception.

Some facets of depth perception work with one eye while other facets work with both. (I'm an R.N.)
