I could be wrong but did you ask him if he liked her or did he just come out and tell you?
I've lost a couple of friends because a boyfriend hit in me and when I told my friend she got mad at me despite the fact that I shot the guy down and buried his intentions.
Through this experience I've decided that guys are always going to be attracted to at least one of his girlfriends 'friends' and the same goes for females. Whether or not someone acts on it depends on the character of the person in question.
If he's not the cheater type just try to see it as an extension of the attraction that he has for you and the fact that he likes your personality, considering your friend is probably like you in some ways personality wise.

I think your boyfriend needs to familiarize himself with the idea that "some things are better left unsaid"
To be perfectly honest with you, I've been in situations when I was playing second string to a guy that my gf actually wanted to be with.
You've only invested 2 months, I'd bail it up on this guy.

He's a PIG! Keep a close eye on this one. He may not be worth hanging on too.

HE SAID THAT TO YOU?!
He shouldn't have. It's SUPPOSED to bother you. If I were you, I'd look out for a breakup ahead.

you've been seeing each other for 2 months, either he is very honest or very stupid. either way if it made you uncomfortable, why be in a situation like that?

i would be cautious.
if my boyfriend told me something like that i would be extremly suspicious. not because of him imparticular, but because of what he said.
so watch out for signs of anything going on.
