You can pretty much do whatever you want, babe, but don't let the cabbage know about it. Cabbage is known to be VERY JEALOUS and has a quick temper to boot.

Seriously, why not? Except you can't use it "AS CABBAGE" because it isn't cabbage. Use cabbage as cabbage. Use Brussel Sprout leaves IN PLACE OF cabbage, not AS cabbage.

Yes, of course - they are different forms of the same plant, and the leaves are completely edible. If you are growing your own, be sure to wash the leaves well, as they tend to attract aphids.

Sure, but they are very mild, like Collards, or Broccoli leaves.
