You probably carry your weight very well with your height and much of it could be muscle, if you are only wearing a size 13. One size does NOT fit all. We are all different.
I wouldn't call the diet you are following healthy, no.
I just found an awesome website which is really helping me. I've lost 8 lbs in the past week and a half.
It is http://www.sparkpeople.com
It's great! I actually found it courtesy of an answer I read on Y!A.

5'9" and 218 is too heavy. I am not sure what juice diet you are referring to, but if is is the Lemonade Diet (Actually called Master Cleanse), I would recommend it. You will not be hungry, and it will detoxify your body as well.
Go to this link and check it out:

Depending how long you want to stay on it, you could lose up to 2 pounds a day, safely. I am on it right now. I have done this cleanse twice in the last year. One time for 4 days and this time for 10. I am not hungry and haven't felt hungry. I work in the oilfield, and work hard. After work, I ride my bike for an hour. I have never felt weak or lathargic. I feel great. My skin looks wonderful, I lost weight (not the reason I did the Cleanse) and I sleep like a rock every night - something I never do when I am not doing this cleasing.
Check it out and hope you hang with it.

i would say that any extreme diet is bad. look into the abs diet. the foods you eat are really good. you only have to stay away from 3 things. high fructose corn syrub, trans fats, and saturated fats. it is easy to remember the power foods. the only hard part of this diet is eating SIX times a day.
i lost 20 in 6 weeks. the ave is somewhere around 10.

yes, not only are they bad, they are unhealty and unrealistic and you will gain the weigh back. you need to treat the cause, not the symptom. that means you have to shift your entire outlook on healthy eating habits and excersise and eat foods that are real and you can stick with. excersise at least 3 times a week and do weight training. yes, it is hard and a new way of life, but there is no other way. all of these promising fad diets will only result in you ending up a yo-yo dieter.

Don't do those diets your body needs all of the food groups especially in the younger years. Just try making healther choices when it comes to food.

Don't do fad diets, diet pills, or anything extreme. Eat lots of fruits, veggies, whole grains. Do everything in moderation and exercise, and you will see results.

its not bad as long as you don't do it for a long time. maximum: 1-2 weeks. listen to your body and be sure to take vitamins as well. a better way to go is the lemonade cleanse or grape diet.. much healthier and safer. if you want to know aobut them, email me... meghankopp63@yahoo.com
