An entire thesis could be developed around your question. Religion has a very important place in society (througout the ages). On a micro level, it provides answers (true or not) to existential questions asked by individuals inall levels of society. On a macro level, it is a very effective mechanism for controlling large populations. there are numuerous other factors involved in in the propagation of various religious beliefs, but these are two major points

First of all let me just say that in America we are free. Free to make any choices albeit it good or bad. The one thing that we should remember and especially if you have children is that your children look up to you for the answers to many important questions. I was brought up Christian as I got older I changed my beliefs...WHY you ask because I can because I live in a country that is free and I do not have to believe one way or another. The US. Government also has to be very careful about what they stick there nose in since we have a law that states to separate church from law. Ultimately it is the parent responsibility to teach their children what is wrong and right until they are old enough to make those decisions themselves.
My next point next time that you make a post there is a little button that says Check Spelling if I were you I would use it.

It's that whole pesky freedom or religion thing that we were endowed by our creator for. I know things would work a lot better if we were a secular monarchy like Iraq before the war and just did away with all these Christians and Muslims alike. Maybe we'll do some ethnic cleansing for the sport of it? Sadly we're under the weight of the constitution and therefore there must be no hope for the world.
Exit Hitler.
Please don't spread your hate on here. It's not becoming of you.

It is the moral, ethical and religious duty of all parents to teach their kids what they think is right, what they believe in and what they follow as their life. It is upto us when we grow up to realise why we are Muslims or any other religion followers. This is when people change believes when they learn or find a religion to be better than others, peace,

U.S. children are free to grow up and change or reject a faith if they choose. We Catholics make our own decision when we choose to be Confirmed. Not all choose it. We Americans do not wish to live like Sparta. The government should not have that much power or control. We control it not the other way around.

" I'm a cop" " I'm a thief" " I'm a doctor" " hey drop dead, I just killed you with my watergun" "let's play husband and wife".
Wether you like it or not, kids are going to learn through mimicing their parents, family, and society. and wether you like it or not, society has the bad things and the good things equally. to break it more simple to you, NO government can eliminate that.
Oh, one more thing. just because you don't believe in religion, doesn't make the whole idea of religion something to be ashamed of and burried. you're free to do what you want. However, you should always remember that others are also free to believe in what they want, and do what they want. when you get your own kids, we'll see if you'll let them go through the religion they pick, or will you just "force" them to be just like "you" ;)
regards!

Freedom.
Freedom to believe.
Freedom not to believe.
Freedom to teach your children.
Freedom to believe that your question is ludicrous in a free society.
