Where and how can I meet single girls?

I have recently started a new job in an area where I do not know anyone. I want to meet new people, make friends and most importantly meet single girls. Where should I go? What should I do? I don't want to sit at home lonely every evening.

Where do you live? I am single and tired of sitting home every evening myself, especially on the weekends! LOL

But for real, alot of churches have singles groups directed at all ages above the age of 21.

Make friends where you work, maybe someone might know of someone they could introduce you too.

Keep your antennae wires on wide alert when out and about at the supermarket, library, cleaners, bank etc.... never know a nice single gal might be right there with in arms reach...

Try hanging out at a local laundromat to meet people, me and my friends do this occasionally when we are dying our jeans a darker color for our work uniform, and we go there and take a jug of margaritas, and have our "dye party".

You can hang out at local bookstores, the mall, local coffee shop, and just be open... most of the time if you're putting out an I'm available vibe, they will come to you....
..... also call your local chamber of commerce about any singles gatherings that might be in your area.... some places I know have special events at bars that are directed at singles only... but just be careful about anyone you meet in a bar, most are there for only 1 reason, and that is to use somebody... you definitely don't need that... but notice i said the word "most"... just use your best judgement..... and remember you can always call me :oP

The best place to meet girls is while doing activities you enjoy. The friends and girlfriends you meet while doing activities you enjoy will already have something in common with you. What do you like to do?

Are you sporty? Join a softball team, a karate class, or if you are really brave, a dance or yoga class that will be full of hot chicks! Just think, 30.00 a month for a yoga class will guarantee you meeting at least 15 women on a regular basis.

Are you artsy? How about a writer's group or community theater? I can tell you from personal experience that there are tons of women in community theater groups, and very few straight men. Finding a date there would be like shooting fish in a barrel.

The nice thing about meeting women in places other than bars and clubs is that their defense mechanisms will be down. We assume if we meet a guy at a club, he is after one thing, and we react accordingly. But a club or activity group puts the focus on something else (the acitivity) and helps relationships develop in a more natural way. Plus, you'll get to have fun doing something you enjoy.

You should:

1. join some clubs
2. accept every invitation you get, no matter how unlikely (such as going to church)
3. Take a night class
4. Remain cheerful and not panic as you will, eventually meet some people but looking deserate will not speed up the process.

I moved to a new area 8 months ago and have made some great friends, When i started my new job i was honest and open and approached people, asked what they were up to for lunch, nine times out of 10 they offered me to go with them, then after more of that i was asked out with them and met more people when i was out, so that's one way!! Just be confident x

Look at your work. Also in cafe's, stores, clubs, church... just put yourself out there and talk to them. even if they are not single it's good to get yourself used to just being open like that to women
