As a non-native speaker...? Most any American movie or TV show is a good place to start. Listen & repeat until perfect!

...Oh, yes, I forgot to mention, don't pay any attention to HOW a word is spelled; pay atention to how it's PRONOUNCED. They aren't always the same!

Also, Hip-hop will give you words that is common in society ( just don't use the N word ... deriving from Nigeria ). Country music will give you that "Southern" accent ... Rap music will bond you to the afro-american community ... Jennifer Lopez will have you mixed with Latino/ Rappers / California. It depends on how serious you are about it. If you want to improve your accent quickly, find an accent coach. These kinds of people really exist. They will identify which sounds are most difficult for you to produce, and they help you learn how to make them and to sound more American. When actors have to speak like natives of another country, they all have voice coaches. Several British actors have played American parts in movies, and they are convincing as native speakers because they have had such coaching. Ben Kingsley and Anthony Hopkins are two who come to mind.

It also helps to record yourself. Find some inexpensive way to record yourself speaking and see how it compares to American TV and radio accents.
