The lowest cost solution to 3D photography is an image splitter. This fits on your lens like a filter and creates two images of the scene on the film (two half frame pictures) taken from two slightly different positions. The resulting pictures can be printed up and viewed on a normal stereo viewer. I do not know who makes them now (I have had mine for about 30 years - made by Pentax) but a Google search my bring you some luck.
