Sweetheart, if he's sixteen, he shouldn't give you any sort of a chance if he's a good guy. I know you don't want to hear this, but deep down I'm probably sure that you know he is way too old for you. You have a crush on him, OK, nothing wrong with that, but you shouldn't act on it. You might be putting him in an awkward position and also setting yourself up for an embarrassing situation.
Make friends with guys nearer to your own age group, you'll have more common interests with them. You'll probably hear this a lot over the next few years, but don't be in too much of a hurry to grow up. Have fun, enjoy your teen years (when you get there!) You're only young once.

There's a pretty big jump in maturity level from 12 to 16. He may think he's too grown up for you. As you both mature, 4 years isn't a very big jump. Between, say, 20 and 24 it's a lot more even.

A chance at what...certainly not a relationship..You are too young and I would wait a few more years..You need to enjoy this time with your freinds and be making memories for when youre grown...When you are 16 he will be 20 so I wouldn't even begin a relationship because you are only going to get hurt

If you are 12 , you have no business getting involved with anybody yet. Sorry, but you are way too young and especially with a boy that is 16. Do your parents know about this?

I remembered when my cousin was 12, she was dated by her classmate of her age. Later, her parents found out, and made a big fuss over it. They were not allowed to go out again. My cousin was so upset, guilty, and confused.

A year later, a tomboy dated her. Her parents didn't realize that they're lesbians. Now, after 30 or more years, they are still living together.

If you really love him, and he loves you. Why not wait a little while longer. Anticipation is romantic as well.

No,it is not a good idea. Let's face it 16 year old boys only have sex on there minds and he could commit statutory rape even with your permision. Wait 4 years. You;ll be more mature and so will he.

You have a better chance stay away from him. Stick with friends in your own age group. After you have a better understanding of relationships and how to control yours and guys' roles in them, you can start stretching your age differences.

You only have a chance to get used and hurt. Admire from a distance and learn. Good for you to ask first.

no, when boys start getting around that age, their hormones start to kick in, and so if he's tryna get w/ u that means he's probably tried to do something funny(if u know what I mean)with someone his own age and it didn't work so now he's trying to get someone young and who he thinks is ignorant so he can have his way w/ them which is sick. Don't do it girl, u can find someone ur own age, believe me, I'm 14
