Water is life ... it renews ... cleans ... and starts creating vegetation ... all life.
Fire destroys ... burns ... makes all things ash. However, the ash form fire also creates wonderful fertilizer, and if you add water to this, you'll get the greatest green stuff you've ever seen (check out the stuff from Mt. St. Helen's ... soap, fertilizer, and enviroment). So, the Earth will be dead, and from the death of the Earth will come life so pure and lush that it will make God happy.

Fire purefied the world. In facts all your works will go through the fire to see if they were for the right reason. 1 Corinthians 3: 13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. 1 Corinthians 3: 14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.

none, if God wanted to destroy us, He could do it. after all He is God.
but i guess the idea of ending the world in fire is when He then flood the earth for 40 days and he made a vow of no longer destroying us with water.
i agree, water do give slow death. if God sends a meteor through earth blazing with fire, we would die in seconds. i think its takes minutes to die in water.

Following the autumn of mankind God the author instituted a punishment that prevented human beings going to a place or planet referred to as Heaven yet he did promise that sometime he could deliver a Saviour so as that mankind might desire to come again on course returned and discover the thank you to Heaven. devil became the instigator of sin and has eternal punishment waiting for him whilst christ returns for on a similar time as he has had time to tutor human beings far off from God, many have come to appreciate Christ contained in the direction of the scaling down technique that faith in God brings. (faith comes with the help of listening to and listening to with the help of the word of God) many don't care to hearken to the message of salvation and rather are full of earthly cares. devil's time will come whilst he's destined to the lake of hearth, likewise all people who sought to serve him rather of Christ in this worldwide will connect him in that lake of hearth, and not basically for a season yet continuously.

He's used both in the past, don't forget Soddom and Gomorrah. Which one he uses no doubt depends on his mood at the moment. He plans on using fire and brimstone in the future I hear.

Water doesn't seem to be as harsh as fire. I think I would choose water. It is cooler.
