I get as far as to ask for their number but then wehen we get on the phone idk what to talk about so we both just sit there holding the phone not saying n e thing can someone help me with this problem i have

so when you call a girl....you have two choices...
start talkin randomly...
or say hey....I cant really talk, but we should hangout sometime...howabout next weekend,...

Not a problem, actor. You are very normal. Starting out is always the hard part. When you call and ask how she is, then go on to say, I would like to get to know you better. That opens the door for conversation. I used to be painfully shy. I got to where when I gave my number to someone, I would write questions about them that I wanted to know...like does he like to read, hike etc. Ask some current events questions, like, what do you think about what is going on in the elections in your state, anything that will get her to talk about more than hairstyles and shoes. You surely don't want to date an idiot, do you? Smart girls are more fun than the ones who spend the day in front of the mirror. Shallow girls can't have very deep conversations.....at least that is my experience. Find out the kinds of things she likes to eat, read, watch on TV and why. She will be glad to talk about herself, but wants to hear about you too, so make a list of things to share with her. Tell jokes. Most importantly, RELAX. Girls love confidence in a guy. i fu really into the girl say somethinga bout going out that usually gets the conversaton started because you begin to usually talk about what each other like. allow the girl to speak but you should aswell as girls like guys who are open and honest. dont be nervous before youve even given it a chance some girls can tell by the way guys talk. just gather the confidence to speak and youll do fine

Not the first who has run into this, the dreaded "awkward silence"- My biggest fear. I have had awkward silence with people I have know for yearson the phone. Try getting to be friends with girls and if it progresses you will not have to work at making conversation. Just meeting someone and turning it into something is next to impossible. Good luck though.

Well maybe you should start off like hey what's up or how are you. And then get on a topic like ( telling each other how your day went). So basically say what's on your mind like weather it's family,school,other friends you know stuff in general.

ask them if they want to go to the movies, then you can get into a talk about movies and stuff like that. ask her about her intrests, if some of them are the same as urs, then u guys will start talking about it probably. Or, if u guys hate the same stuff, u can complain about it to one another. me and my friends complain about stuff a lot, it is really fun
