That depends on how sad you are. Find a friend that you can get out of the house with, go sit and chat and get some things off your mind. If you think you are depressed, not just sad, then it may be a really good idea to get some help for yourself. here's a good site that you can take a self-test for depression.
remember to be kind and gentle to yourself.

Read a book, go for a walk.talk to a good friend,go to the movies. Do a good deed or two for someone. By making others happy you may become happy. It will make you feel useful.

when i feel down, i like to get out and do something special (it can be a little thing) for someone else. giving someone else a smile is often the best way to get a smile for yourself.

me, too. honestly.

get busy doing something you like.

watch a funny movie, cook something simple and yummy. listen to loud music and dance (i am not joking!), go for a run, etc.
