I can almost never breathe through my nose. I used to get sneezing, watery eyes etc. all summer and fall. I think I outgrew that mostly, but now I just get that feeling where your sinuses are all stuffed up and your vision is not blurry but it hurts to focus and you want to go to sleep.

I wonder if rhinoplasty would help (anyone have a similar story?) My nose is not big or humpy at all, but the tip could be cuter or smaller & I wonder if I have that done, if they could remove a few bones in there or maybe there is a deviated septum?

Anyway, I'd love to hear from anyone who has rhinoplasty & did it cure sinus headaches or vision/ migraine problems also. THanks!!

My Aunt had trouble breathing through her nose for many years. She finally did opt for rhinoplasty and her insurance did cover it because it was for a medical purpose. It helped her greatly.

Just be very careful selecting your doctor. This surgery is on your face, even if the main purpose isn't to change the features of your nose, the ending will result in a differently sculpted nose. You want a doctor who can fix the problem and leave your nose symmetrical and aesthetically pleasing!

Best of luck to you!

Hay there! I'm a nurse in theatres and I think you would not get anything from a rhinoplasty. Firstly rhinoplasty is shaving of the bones of your nose. This is no good because your symptoms are cause by the nasal mucosa. I think you should go see you doctor and ask for a referal to an Ear, nose and throat surgeon and discuss with him (or her) whether or not a septoplasty, turbinate trimming and fine endoscopic sinus surgery would be helpfull. These reduce the amount of tissue in your nose and also taking out any crap that is stuck in you sinus's including nasal polyps. This is the way to go!!!!

Oh and don't go to a plastic surgeon. That would be like going to a orthopaedic surgeon to have a breast reduction!!!!

I had surgery for a deviated septum but I didn't have the shape changed. It did help me breathe a lot better and cured most of my headaches. There are some doctors that can insert a special balloon to open and drain sinus cavities.

Yes it does exist. It happens when a guy is highly aroused and then never gets a chance to release himself. Actually this is as a result of congested prostate rather than the balls turning blue. Even the pain is more around the prostate area and lower abdomen rather than the balls, though a slight discomfort might be felt in the testes. Blue balls go by themselves after a couple of hours. Even if the guy ejaculates when he has a blue ball, the pain persist for sometime.
