There aren't too many drinks that have no carbon dioxide, but I really don't like (and can't handle) drinking the bubbles. Till now I've put up with drinking the soft drinks I like after shaking and/or stirring with a fork a lot, but it's such a hassle. Is there an easier way?

Duh! DON'T DRINK SODA. Drink only non-carbonated juices, waters, etc. No one says that you have to drink carbonated drinks silly. Or open the bottle or can and leave it overnight so it goes flat, but why bother when there are perfectly good non-carbonated choices?

Without the carbonation, it's just flavoured water.

There are lots of cold drinks and flavoured water options without carbonation.
These include Kool-Aid, Crystal Lite, Iced Tea, Juice, Gatorade, SoBe drinks... and the list goes on. (They even make Flavoraid in Root Beer flavor!)

...The easiest way is to choose a beverage that hasn't been carbonated.

I don't think there is a quick way. I have tried shaking it, but as you know, that makes a mess. I think the best thing to do is to plan ahead and leave the top off, so it is flat when you are ready to drink it. I have that problem as well. I wish so many of the flavored waters didn't have that darned fizzzzzzz!

Open it, and leave it open in the fridge for a few hours (for me, a half an hour to an hour is fine). It doesn't go bland like it would if you left it out. Even if you left it out, you could always refridgerate it again. I like leaving it open and letting all the carbon dioxide out, the sweetness is also brought out.

put ice cubes in a large glass and pour the soda over it.
the ice cubes provide a surface for the dissolved carbon dioxide to adhere to and bubble and the extra coldness promotes the bubbling.
If you really want to speed this up then pour it again over another glass of ice cubes.

Chill it open so the CO2 can vent. The CO2 is disolved, the colder something is, the less of it can be in solution. Hot water disolves more than cold water.

Blow in it through a straw or just open it and put it in the fridge overnight.
