I tend to believe the Dentist over the Chem teacher since he isn't a dentist. But for some cold water makes the teeth hurt. Tooth brushes don't last forever and your suppose to change them monthly so warm water messing up the bristles isn't something to worry about either. The important thing is your using a soft bristle brush and not a medium or hard one as it damages the enamel and gums. Plus brush and floss. Prevention is the key to saving your teeth. Get the plaque off the teeth next to the gum line. Don't brush hard but use a toothpick gently if you must.

I don't think it matters... BUT i prefer cold, because it's refreshing... warm is just icky!! I can't think of a physics or chemistry explanation as to why it would be better in warm... unless it has something to do with ions in the water, and where the water comes from.. but for that you'd need to ask a plummer!

I don't know if use of warm water is better than cold water, but one thing is real: If you use warm water, you brush will look like a wet pooddle... Warm water softs nylon in the brush...

a valid factor aside from 2 issues: a million) dissolved salts interior the water and a pair of) heat water has a some distance better lead content fabric. For older human beings, 2 is a moot factor, yet for infants it is not a sturdy thought. The older human beings do not tolerate the salts o.k.. chilly water is maximum suitable.

My teeth are a bit sensitive, so I use warm. That makes it easier to brush more thoroughly.
