you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on, you know him, and have seen him." 8 Philip said to him, "Lord, show us the Father, and that will be enough for us." 9 Jesus said to him, "Have I been with you such a long time, and do you not know me, Philip? He who has seen me has seen the Father. How do you say, 'Show us the Father?' 10 Don't you believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? The words that I tell you, I speak not from myself; but the Father living in me does his works.
How do you interpret them?

This was a question written to those who do believe in the Bible. Not really relevant to nonbelievers.

Had you went down another verse, it would have said it all.
"12 Very truly I tell you, all who have faith in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. 13 And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it."
Anytime Jesus talked about Himself or someone talked about Jesus, they used the word "son" 2 ways. Jesus used "me" 2 ways.
God's son=flesh
God's Son= Deity
Son of God=Deity
son of God=flesh
Son of man=Deity.
son of man=flesh=Mary's son.
me=flesh
ME=Deity.
A rule is: Anytime the (s) is capitalized, is refers to "Deity".
Anytime it is (lower case) is means (flesh=man)
Jesus was telling Phillip, If he saw Jesus (me)=flesh), he was seeing God in the flesh.
He told him in the next verse. ask anything of me and will please the who? Son. Jesus (Deity).
Good Q*.

Trinity is not made up.Bible teaches also One God, but God the Father manifested Himself through jesus christ and Holy Spirit where they are one and the same present to each other in magananimity. Don't u ever try to empty the ocean with your little cup.Means dont try to understand and interpret the infinit reality by man a finite being. John1:1 -13 Jesus is God and the creater and came to the world as light.compare this with genesis1:1follows in the beginning God created heavens and earth .....John 14:15-31 Jesus promise the coming of Holy spirit and declares that The Father Son and holy spirit will be with those who love Jesus.john14:5-11.Father is in me and I am in the Father.Those who see me see my Father.14:Jesus reveals father in himself.Mathew 28:18-20 Jesus orders the apostles to baptise in the name of The Father Son and the Holy Spirit .If there is no divine unity Jesus will not say like that.And so may examples in the Bible. Quran teaches Bible is from alla and jesus is the prophet of alla.If that is true the same alla canot say contradictory teachings.So logical coclusion is thus.God canot go wrong.So alla is not true God or Muhammed is not true prophet because God canot reveale one truth in bible and and an opposit thing in quran for He is The Truth.2+2=4 always.It canot be 5 or 6 or 7 as somebody interpret.God is one but in human history and experice of revelation ;God is Father ,Manifested God Jesus and Inspiring Spirit.Same reality ,logically anything that is one with God is God and once more the reality of God is infinit and never try to contain That in the few pounds of grey and white nuerological matter inside your perishable skull.Be humble before He will teach us little bit

Philip wanted more proof.
Jesus was telling his disciples that *everything he did and said* he was doing what His Father told him. So Jesus is the exact model of his Father. You can see the personality of the Father through the works and words of Jesus.
Jesus and his Father are totally in union with each other. Jesus totally agrees with the purpose of his Father to pay for the sins of mankind, so those who love God, can be restored to spiritual and physical perfection, all for the glory of God.
The Father living in me does his works.

The answer is simple and right in front of you. This is not a confusing verse of scripture. Jesus is letting you know that there is no getting around it. He and the Father are one! People who say they believe in God, but don't believe who Jesus says he is, really don't believe in God! You cannot separate Jesus from the Father, and be in communion with God. The people who say otherwise are confused, or in denial! Just like he told Phillip in Chapter 14:9 of John's gospel which you quoted,...have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me..., and chapter 17:21,"...That they all may be one ; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us; that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.... Jesus Christ was the human physical manifestation, and more, of the invisible Almighty God.

Makes perfect sense to me. Which is surprising since the bible was written by men. Jesus knew God because he was with Him on the other side. This is another example in the bible of reincarnation. God lives in ALL of us. He created our souls, not these bodies. Our parents did that.
