What do you want from life
To kidnap an heiress
or threaten her with a knife
What do you want from life
To get cable TV
and watch it every night
There you sit
a lump in your chair
Where do you sleep
and what do you wear
when you're sleeping
What do you want from life
An Indian guru
to show you the inner light
What do you want from life
a meaningless love affair
with a girl that you met tonight
How can you tell when you're doin' alright
Does your bank account swell
While you're dreaming at night
How do know when you're really in love
Do violins play when you're touching the one
That you're loving
What do you want from life
Someone to love
and somebody that you can trust
What do you want from life
To try and be happy
while you do the nasty things you must
Well, you can't have that, but if you're an American citizen you are entitled to:
a heated kidney shaped pool,
a microwave oven--don't watch the food cook,
a Dyna-Gym--I'll personally demonstrate it in the privacy of your own home,
a king-size Titanic unsinkable Molly Brown waterbed with polybendum,
a foolproof plan and an airtight alibi,
real simulated Indian jewelry,
a Gucci shoetree,
a year's supply of antibiotics,
a personally autographed picture of Randy Mantooth
and Bob Dylan's new unlisted phone number,
a beautifully restored 3rd Reich swizzle stick,
Rosemary's baby,
a dream date in kneepads with Paul Williams,
a new Matador, a new mastodon,
a Maverick, a Mustang, a Montego,
a Merc Montclair, a Mark IV, a meteor,
a Mercedes, an MG, or a Malibu,
a Mort Moriarty, a Maserati, a Mac truck,
a Mazda, a new Monza, or a moped,
a Winnebago--Hell, a herd of Winnebago's we're giving 'em away,
or how about a McCulloch chainsaw,
a Las Vegas wedding,
a Mexican divorce,
a solid gold Kama Sutra coffee pot,
or a baby's arm holding an apple?

"Life is God Business", base in what I should said to you, that there are many and more than one good mining and reason for Life, although for God, it became the opportunity that he was searching for, perhaps some billions of year ago, while he was steal an Energy, and a positive energy of awareness that will begin to visit the World of matter's, were substances and Elements were to be use by the Matter's to pursue changes and mainly changes for Mutations. matter will offer God the potentials that HIM, has been searching for, specially while matter can be found in liquid and solid forms. so, in the end and before creation give and take few million earthly years God was able to manipulate the cell's, that within matter, and at an Atomic level he will use to create a materiality good enough for HIM(God), experience and acquired a physical entity, and then he begun to create the earth, and everything else. What life means for God, perhaps because of the physical entity a good storage for though, memories, plans and thinkins, he can use to grow and expand intelligently, as well that to experience the existance of matter elements and other energies, as well to learn and remember the qualities of matter to physically reproduce and multiply and to learn the process in the essences with no need for substances. can this be useful to you to come out with your own conclusions and what lifew will mean for you?, remmeber the bod, vbasically the cellular structure will stayin the ground when death becomes the reality of the material existence that will not live forever, as will the energies and the Spiritual beings, which will save your mind, and the memories of your experiences in this material existence, with no needs for mutation and in the essences will save also acknowledge.

The meaning of life, or purpose of life is clear, it is to understand our relationship with the Supreme Spirit, transcend material consciousness and solve the problems of life. What are those problems? Birth, death, old age and disease. In this human form of life, we have been given higher intelligence than those of the animals. As we can see from some of these posts, some people are actually serious about solving life's problems, and others have hardly given it a thought. The fact is we are all suffering, No one can claim that he is not suffering. That is not possible. In this material world, there are three kinds of suffering:.These are miseries arising from the material body and mind, from other living entities, and from the forces of nature. We may suffer mental anguish, or we may suffer from other living entities-from ants or mosquitoes or flies - or we may suffer due to some superior power. There may be no rain, or there may be flood. There may be excessive heat or excessive cold. So many types of suffering are imposed by nature. Thus there are three types of miseries within the material world, and everyone is suffering from one, two, or three of them. No one can say that he is completely free from suffering. The purpose of life is realize what real freedom is. When we realize that we are not these bodies but the eternal, blissful, cognizant spirit within the body, and that we are meant to please the Supreme, that brings us eternal happiness and freedom.

I think its about knowing God, letting him help you through the ups and downs of life he knows the ultimate plans for your future. Let God live through you. Helping others see the truth and being there for them (making a difference in other peoples life's, be supportive to all ). Learn many lesson from your mistakes and from others. I think everyone has lessons to learn and a mission to accomplish . But most important stand up for your beliefs and live each day as if it were the last moment of life. For Life is short you never know when your moment will be gone.....

According to the Dalai Lama, it is to be happy. Check out some of his books including "The Art of Happiness"; according to Abraham, the purpose of life is to feel good. Nothing is more important. Check out one of the books by Esther Hicks to find out more or check out hayhouseradio.com for more info from many wise people on loving and enjoying life.
Unfortunately, I see there are still way too many people still living in the Thomas Hobbes 17th century world of evil and pain..it aint real..come into the 21 st century and start to enjoy life, folks :)

Our purpose in life is to worship God. Eccl. 12:13: "The conclusion of the matter, everything having been heard, is: Fear the true God and keep his commandments. For this is the whole obligation of man." This will bring us the most happiness.
The psalmist David also wrote about the incoming new world and how long it would endure. He foretold: “The righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will reside forever upon it.” (Psalm 37:29) That is why Jesus promised: “Happy are the mild-tempered ones, since they will inherit the earth.”—Matthew 5:5.
What a grand prospect that is, living forever on a paradise earth free from all wickedness, crime, sickness, sorrow, and pain! In the final book of the Bible, God’s prophetic Word summarizes this grand purpose by declaring: “God will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” It adds: “And the One seated on the throne said: ‘Look! I am making all things new.’ Also, he says: ‘Write, because these words are faithful and true.’”—Revelation 21:4, 5.
Yes, God has a grand purpose in mind. It will be a new world of righteousness, an eternal paradise, foretold by the One who can and will do what he promises, for his “words are faithful and true.”
Perfect Health, Everlasting Life.
“No resident will say: ‘I am sick.’”—Isaiah 33:24.
“The gift God gives is everlasting life by Christ Jesus our Lord.”—Romans 6:23.
“Everyone exercising faith in him [will] . . . have everlasting life.”—John 3:16.
“You will be with me in Paradise.”—Luke 23:43.
What a marvelous outlook for the future! What real purpose lives can now have when anchored to the solid hope that in God’s new world all of today’s problems will forever be things of the past! “The former things will not be called to mind, neither will they come up into the heart.” (Isaiah 65:17) And how comforting to know that life then will be eternal: “God will actually swallow up death forever.”—Isaiah 25:8.
Do you want to live forever in that Paradise new world now so near? ‘What would I need to do to get God’s favor at this world’s end and live on into his new world?’ you may ask. You need to do what Jesus indicated in a prayer to God: “This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ.”—John 17:3.
Therefore, obtain a Bible, and confirm what you have read here. Search out others who study and teach these Bible truths. Break free from hypocritical religions that teach and do things contrary to the Bible. Learn how you, along with millions of others who are already doing God’s will, can share in God’s purpose that humans live forever on a paradise earth. And take to heart what God’s inspired Word declares about the near future: “The world is passing away and so is its desire, but he that does the will of God remains forever.”—1 John 2:17.

I suspect there is no 'true purpose' to life, but if I had to say, I would say that it's just to live, have a good time, and not screw over others.
