Are they forcing people to smoke? If you smoke and you die is it not your fault for not quitting?

No, because there is the intervening voluntary act of the smoker.
Just a like a company who makes cleaning products cannot be held liable for murder if someone chooses to chug a gallon of DrainO.

No and I say that as someone whose Mom died of cancer when I was 9. What next? Are you going to put the distributors of bacon in jail too? That would make as much sense. You could link heart disease and bacon just as effectively. No, we are all responsible for taking care of ourselves and we all take risks when we smoke or drink or eat something that is not healthy for us. Its called growing up.
Which is what you should do. Stop blaming other people for what is your own fault. And my mother was to blame for her own death more than anyone else. Women in their 30's should never smoke and take birth control pills at the same time. Its deadly. See your doctor regularly. That's your job. Not someone else's.

No...they had no forethought, or motivation to kill. It is actually in their best interest if the addicted smoker lives a long life.
BTW I'm one of those addicted people, and none in my family has ever died of lung cancer...emphysema gets us first.

No, its a legal product. The people who smoke choose to do so. They decided to smoke, they can stop if they wish. I was a smoker, and I quit. It was the hardest thing I ever did, but I did do it.

No but yes. No they shouldnt be because it the person who buys the prodoucts fault, they know whats wrong with it. Yes because my grandmother died from lung cancer because of smoking and i think they should pay for that. There isnt ust one person you could arrest though, so why waiste a whole jail filled with a tobacco company?
