I have 2 cats and 1 dog. We have a Dirt Devil Swift Bagless Upright and it is wonderful, picks up tons of hair and dust. It also was low priced for a vacuum, it was 50 dollars on sale at Kohl's. We've had it for about a year and it is wonderful!

Try looking up "vacuum cleaner repair" in your local yellow pages; ask them this question. Since they're on the problem end of vacuum cleaners, I'll bet they'll have your best answer.

I did this when I wanted a cordless upright vac for my trailer, and the vacuum recommended to me is the best I've ever seen (And others are so impressed, I keep getting asked where I got it!).

Good luck!

Yes, Buy a Rainbow! They are fantastic! I kept tearing up my vacuum cleaners because of the pet hair - I have cockers - and I was to my wits end and then I bought a Rainbow Vacuum cleaner - they are awesome - they never stop up and they get out more junk then your old ones will!

I have a Dyson Animal which is fantastic, but be aware the dog is terrified of it - more so than he was of the non-cyclone vacuum cleaner. Have tried a range of vacuum cleaners as has my friend she has the upright and I have the cylinder. Sorry about the product name but it is the only way to answer it.

I have a white German shepherd and a dark green carpet. : ( I swear I will never buy a bag less vacuum again. I'm constantly taking it apart to pull the hair out. Irritating.

When I got my dog she had only lived in houses with hard wood floors. Poor dog freaked. She no longer hides, but unfortunately won't let us vacuum her. All of my old Shepherds enjoyed a daily vacuuming. It cut down on fur tumble weeds.

All I know is that I am never buying a bagless vacuum again. It turns out that I have to use a bag anyway to shake the filter off into. It's a mess and I can't stand it.

The Dyson they are great, and they have one designed especially for pet hair. I have two large dogs and they leave hair every where, the Dyson works the best. I have had it for a;mpst four years and never once had a problem.
