Sorry to hear you're sick. I hope you feel better soon.

Our pastor spoke about Ephesian 6:10, how we are in a spiritual battle (fighting the spiritual forces of darkness, NOT other people) and we need to be armed and ready to go. Next week he'll speak about the rest of the chapter, describing in detail the full armor of God. I look forward to that one.

I liked the sermon a lot because it reminded me of a book I'm currently reading, called "Waking the Dead" by John Eldridge. Great book!

Yes I did. The sermon was about being more like Barnabas in Acts 11. Christians should be known as "Christians" not just the person who sometimes does the right thing because people are watching. Yes, it did touch my heart, because right now I am the kind of Christian who does what's right just because people are watching, not because I know that it is right to do what is right. (am i making any sense at all?)

I am sorry that you are unwell, I'll Pray for you...

Our Sermon title was," You Can Know You Are Going To Heaven !!!!!"
The Text was Hebrews 9:24
The Bishop also used II Corinthians 5:21,and Ephesians 1:13.

Yes it touched my heart.

The basic Message is that we can be assured of Salvation, because Jesus has already done all the "work" for us !

Yes I went to Church.
The sermon was about prayer:
1. Pray often, ask for what you desire and need
2. Avoid vain repetitions, mean what you say
3. Scripture readings:

Mat 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

Mat 7:8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

Mat 7:9 Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?

Mat 7:10 Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?

Mat 7:11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

I felt it was a good sermon, but I wasn't getting teared up or anything, I feel I have a decent prayer life. I try to talk to God pretty often. I'm not too proud to pray.

I'm sorry you were sick today. I hope you feel better soon!

Yes. It was good. It was the next to last sermon in a series entitled "The Basics of Christianity". They are emphasizing the importance of getting back to the basics, such as praying, reading the Bible, and Christian fellowship.

Thanks for asking, and I hope you feel better soon. :)

If you couldn't go to church take your Bible and read, and praise God, thank God, and worship HIM, and ask the Holy Spirit to teach you of what you have read from the Bible, HE will teach you and lead you into all the truth as HE is the Spirit of Truth.
